The final tour rankings and tour leaders are now available on the www.swjbt.co.uk website. The trophies will be handed out at the SWJBT Finals in September

Weston Report & Results

Press Release

The VE LPV festival in the South West took place at Weston Super Mare on Saturday 23rd June.

30 teams from across England and the SW region took part with teams travelling from East Midlands to Kent to take part. In what promised to be a flood damaged beach the weather held off and provided a welcome respite for the juniors many of who were playing in their first beach volleyball event.

All teams played pool games against everyone to determine their seeding, which then pitched them into the single elimination knock out towards the later part of the day.

It was great to see VE Hall of Fame father Jurek Kankowski running the Under 12 event, with his daughter Kaja winning with her partner Zara Cadwaller.

The rain held off and the Under 15 boys and girls were the only juniors who had to finish their matches in the rain.

The SWJBT first began in 2008 and it was great to see some of the teams who began playing on the junior tour taking part in the Senior VEBT at the same time. Anaya Evans, who began playing her first beach event at Weston only two years ago in year 6, and Millie Constable year 11, won two game in the main draw of the VEBT to finish 13th. Congratulations to all the competitors, thanks to all the volunteers who supported the event and to VE.
